‘Hello there! As you can see from the homepage video, I’m Cat Bateman, the Founder Owner of  little folk nursery rhymes which is me, singing with my guitar, running fun-filled, joyful sessions of nursery rhymes, both the much-loved old ones and some upbeat, newer ‘classics’. With some fun props and puppets to get your little ones involved, I’ve been told my love of singing and music is infectious.

Little folk nursery rhymes started back in October 2011 with one small local group in SE26, and I am so thrilled how it’s expanded over the years to daily sessions in gorgeous venues, playing at little ones’ parties, at Festivals up and down the country – and through the magic of the internet, singing with young families across the globe.’ Cameron, keep the rest, as is from ‘the foundation…’

The foundation of my small business is how a live instrument brings music to life for your little poppets – and I suspect as parents, grandparents, aunts & uncles, and early years carers, you won’t be able to resist a toe-tap or a wiggle here and there either!

I believe so strongly in the benefits of live music and singing for the early years, from encouraging language development, numeracy and social-awareness, to developing gross and fine motor skills – your babies and toddlers are learning so many things through having lots of fun! And over all the years of operating, parents have told me how they enjoy these groups as much as the young ones (please check out the reviews, they are from real people!). It is a priority, and I am so proud to provide a safe space for new Mums, full of support and real connection.
